WOE TO THEM THAT GO DOWN TO EGYPT

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord! (ISAIAH 31:1)

As soon as I woke up, the first time and this was very early the Lord spoke this scripture into my hearing. Chapter 31. I later had a vision where I could clearly see the message of God. The people of God were carrying on as usual just like the people of the world. Engaged in activities that were conducted no differently in the way they dressed or the the things they were doing. God is sending a message that we must not put our trust in man, must not follow the ways of the world, or the world's way of doing things, the world's patterns or the world's wisdom, or we will suffer the consequence. Let us keep our eyes upon God and seek him first, to truly live as kingdom citizens, not partially when it's convenient but fully submitted and trusting in God. Guided by the Holy Spirit and living according to the word of God daily.

PRAYER Father in the name of Jesus, may we never allow the ways and means of mere men. nor the wisdom of man to become an idol in our lives. Teach us to keep our eyes upon you, to put our trust in you, to seek you first, our only hope, salvation and strength, amen.
